During the third quarter of 2024, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Europe showed varied performance in terms of downloads and weekly active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the trends for each app.
Uber - Request a ride saw a consistent download rate, starting the quarter with approximately 592K downloads, peaking at about 625K in mid-July, and ending with around 563K by the end of September. Weekly active users fluctuated, beginning at 11.6M and experiencing a brief dip in August, but recovering to approximately 11.9M by late September.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a gradual decline in downloads, from 501K at the start of July to 446K by the end of September. Weekly active users showed a similar pattern, starting with around 3.2M users and ending the quarter with approximately 3.2M, after a slight rise and fall in between.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery downloads decreased steadily over the quarter from 282K to 229K. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly but remained relatively stable, starting at 6.5M and ending with about 6.1M.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus downloads showed a declining trend, beginning at 200K and dropping to 143K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar trajectory, starting at 1.2M and ending at 1M.
inDrive. Save on city rides experienced a decrease in downloads from 85K to 71K over the quarter. Weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 392K, dipping mid-quarter, and ending at 375K.
