During the third quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Ukraine exhibited a variety of trends in terms of downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Uklon: More Than a Taxi maintained a strong presence, with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 52K in early July before experiencing a gradual decline, closing the quarter at about 35K. The app's weekly active users fluctuated, reaching a high of around 305K at the end of August but settling at roughly 269K by the end of September.
Bolt: Request a Ride followed a similar download pattern, with numbers peaking at 50K in July and tapering off to about 31K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users for Bolt saw an initial drop from 364K in early July to a low of 296K by the end of September.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 19K in July to approximately 11K at the close of the quarter. The app's active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 100K throughout the period.
Uber - Request a ride saw a consistent decrease in downloads, starting at 12K in early July and ending at about 7.7K by September's end. Despite this, its active user base showed resilience, fluctuating around 155K for most of the quarter.
inDrive. Save on city rides had the lowest downloads among the top five, with figures dropping from 3.5K in mid-July to just above 2K by the end of September. Its active users hovered around the 20K mark, showing a slight decrease over the quarter.
