In the third quarter of 2024, the character collection game category saw notable activity on a unified platform in Norway. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five games in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Pokémon GO by Niantic, Inc. experienced fluctuating revenue, peaking at around $294K in early July and closing the quarter with approximately $130K. Weekly downloads showed a gradual decline from 2K in early July to around 1.7K by the end of September. The game maintained a strong user base, starting with about 94K active users and slightly decreasing to 102K by the quarter's end.
Coin Master from Moon Active saw its revenue fluctuate, with a high of $142K in the first week of July and ending with $73K in late September. Its weekly downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 800. The active user count started at 17K and slightly decreased to 15.5K by the quarter's end.
Last War:Survival by FUNFLY PTE. LTD. showed a consistent revenue pattern, peaking at $122K in mid-September. The game’s downloads started at 4.6K and saw a decline to 2.3K in early September before rebounding to 4.6K by the end of the quarter. Active users increased from 17.5K to 22.6K over the quarter.
Brawl Stars, developed by Supercell, had a steady revenue stream with a peak of $99K in early July and closing at $66K. Downloads initially were around 5.6K, decreasing to approximately 3.6K by the end of September. The active user base remained robust, starting at 64K and ending at 59.6K.
Whiteout Survival from Century Games Pte. Ltd. exhibited a stable revenue trend, with a high of $72K in early September. Downloads decreased from 6.4K in early July to 3.1K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed resilience, starting at 22.7K and closing at 21.4K.
