In the third quarter of 2024, the top communication apps in Croatia showed varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at how these apps fared, according to Sensor Tower data.
WhatsApp Messenger maintained a strong presence throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads peaked at around 9.5K in mid-August, followed by a decline towards the end of September. Revenue saw a noticeable rise at the end of August, reaching about $48, while active users steadily increased, culminating in approximately 2M by the end of the quarter.
Snapchat experienced fluctuations in its metrics. Weekly revenue showed an upward trend, peaking at around $12.7K in mid-September. However, downloads saw a downward trend, dropping to approximately 3.8K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around the half-million mark.
Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. displayed consistent activity. Downloads decreased towards the end of the quarter, reaching about 3.2K. Weekly revenue varied slightly, with a high of $104 in early July and a similar peak again at the end of September. Active users saw a gradual decline, ending the quarter at about 455K.
Telegram showed promising growth in revenue, with a steady increase throughout the quarter, reaching approximately $2.5K in the final week of September. While downloads remained relatively stable, peaking at 6K in early September, active users fluctuated, ending the period at around 184K.
Rakuten Viber Messenger demonstrated a stable revenue trend, peaking at about $1.2K at the end of September. Downloads saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, with numbers around 3.4K. Active users, however, showed a positive trend, increasing to over 258K by the end of September.
