In the third quarter of 2024, Malta's consumer finance app market exhibited diverse performance patterns across the top applications on a unified platform. According to Sensor Tower data, BOV Mobile demonstrated a notable upward trajectory in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 510 downloads at the beginning of July and climbing steadily to around 691 by the end of September.
Similarly, HSBC Malta maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with downloads fluctuating slightly around the 200 mark and peaking at 250 downloads in early September.
myAPS experienced a gradual increase in downloads, starting from 100 downloads and reaching a peak of 191 in the second week of September, before settling at 165 downloads by the end of the quarter.
Meanwhile, the BNF Mobile App showed a modest download volume, with numbers generally ranging between 59 and 114 downloads over the quarter.
Splitwise recorded a stable download pattern, with weekly figures hovering around 60 to 76 downloads. Notably, Splitwise also achieved a weekly revenue peak of $69 in early September.
