In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of dance game apps on a unified platform in Oceania showcased interesting trends, according to Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at the top five dance games in the region:
Just Dance Now from Ubisoft exhibited fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at around $704 in early July before dipping to a low of $456 in mid-September, and then rising again to $671 by the end of the quarter. Weekly downloads mirrored this pattern, starting strong with 867 in late July but experiencing a dip to 431 by early September, eventually recovering to 620. Active users saw a gradual decline from 3.4K in early July to 2.7K in early September, with a slight rebound to 2.9K by the end of September.
Ice Skating Ballerina, developed by Coco Play, experienced a peak in weekly revenue of $126 in mid-July, followed by a series of fluctuations, ending the quarter at $59. Downloads declined steadily from 335 at the start of July to a low of 128 in late August, with a slight recovery to 200 by the end of September. Active users followed a similar downward trend, decreasing from 2.3K to 1.7K, before stabilizing around 1.8K in September.
Dance Clash: Ballet vs Hip Hop also by Coco Play, saw its weekly revenue peak at $102 in late July, with fluctuations throughout the quarter, ending with $35. Downloads started at 396 in early July, dropped to 161 by late July, and then recovered to 212 by the end of September. The app's active users decreased from 1.1K to 704 in July, before gradually increasing to 765 by the end of the quarter.
Hip Hop Battle - Girls vs Boys showed a modest revenue peak of $41 in early July, with a gradual decline to $8 by the end of September. Downloads were low, beginning at 76 and ending at 45, while active users started at 72 and ended at 20, reflecting a decreasing trend throughout the quarter.
Acrobat Star Show experienced minimal revenue, with only a few spikes in July and September. Downloads began at 151, declined to 58 by early September, and ended at 63. Active users started at 145 and decreased to 69 in early September, slightly increasing to 72 by the quarter's close.
