In the third quarter of 2024, the dating app market in Madagascar showcased varied performance across the top five apps, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at around $975 in early September. Weekly downloads experienced a moderate rise, reaching a high of 877 in mid-August. Active users consistently grew, starting from 9K in early July and ending at over 10.7K by the end of September.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat maintained stable weekly revenue, generally hovering around $90, with a slight increase to $102 in late September. Downloads showed a declining trend, from 165 in early July to 106 at the end of the quarter. Meanwhile, active users increased steadily, reaching 1.6K by the end of September.
Chamet - Live Video Chat experienced a gradual decline in weekly revenue, starting from $125 and dipping to $59 mid-quarter before recovering to $71 in September. Downloads peaked at 383 in mid-August but declined towards the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 1K in early August and stabilizing around 931 by the end of September.
Poppo Live- Live Stream had a significant dip in revenue from $115 at the start of July to around $35, with a slight recovery to $42 by the end of September. Downloads fluctuated, reaching a peak of 161 in late September. Active users increased to 335 by late September, showing a positive trend throughout the quarter.
Plenty of Fish Dating App displayed consistent weekly revenue, mostly around $22-$26. Downloads saw a peak of 100 in late August, followed by a decrease. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 116 in late August and remaining stable towards the end of the quarter.
