In the third quarter of 2024, the film and television app landscape in Tunisia saw notable performance trends across the top 5 apps on the unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower.
HiTV - HD Drama, Film, TV Show from HiTV Entertainment showed a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at around 12K in early August. Despite minimal revenue generation, the app maintained a steady increase in weekly active users, climbing from 22K in early July to nearly 31K by the end of September.
Viu: Dramas, TV Shows & Movies, published by Vuclip Mobile Video, experienced consistent growth in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 8.4K at the end of September. Weekly active users remained robust, fluctuating slightly but holding around 125K by the quarter's end.
Netflix saw stable weekly revenue, hovering around $50 to $66. Downloads increased from early July, peaking at approximately 6.9K in late August. The app's active user base remained strong, consistently around 200K throughout the quarter.
The app ﺷﺎﻫﺪ - Shahid by MBC Group demonstrated a steady revenue stream, with weekly figures reaching $724 in early September. Downloads showed a resurgence in September, climbing to 4.7K, while active users rose to nearly 30K by the quarter's conclusion.
MovieMania 2, a newer entrant, saw significant growth in downloads, with a notable peak of 23K in late September. Active users mirrored this trend, rising sharply to 21K by the end of the quarter.
