In the third quarter of 2024, the finance app landscape in Austria saw varied performance among the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the trends for each app in terms of weekly downloads and active users.
George Österreich, published by Erste Bank und Sparkassen, experienced a notable increase in downloads, starting from around 6.5K in early July and peaking at over 12.7K by the end of September. The app's active users also showed growth, starting at 1.14M and reaching approximately 1.22M by the end of the quarter.
Google Wallet saw a steady rise in weekly downloads, beginning with 5.8K and climbing to over 10.8K by late September. Active users increased from around 30.7K at the start of the quarter to nearly 38.6K by the end.
PayPal - Pay, Send, Save maintained a consistent download rate, fluctuating between 5.1K and 6.0K throughout the quarter. The app's active user base grew steadily from 239.7K to 254.5K by the end of September.
Revolut: Spend, Save, Trade had a stable download trend, with weekly downloads ranging from 4.1K to 5.2K. Active users showed an upward trend, starting at 54.9K and reaching 61.9K by the quarter's conclusion.
Lastly, the Mein ELBA-App experienced an increase in active users from 648.7K to 695.0K, while download numbers varied between 3.8K and 4.9K throughout the quarter.
