In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the top finance applications in Sweden on a unified platform, combining both iOS and Android data, showcased intriguing trends. This analysis, powered by Sensor Tower data, provides insights into the weekly downloads and active user statistics for each app.
Revolut: Send, spend and save saw a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 10.7K in early July and experiencing a peak of approximately 12.6K by late August. The app maintained a robust user base, with weekly active users increasing from about 123K at the start of the quarter to nearly 138K by the end.
Swish payments also exhibited steady growth in downloads, beginning at 8.2K in early July and peaking at 10.4K towards the end of August. The app's active user count displayed a significant rise, starting at over 1.5M and reaching nearly 1.7M by the quarter's close.
Vipps had a remarkable spike in downloads in September, with numbers skyrocketing from around 3.3K to a substantial 87.7K by the end of the month. Its active user base mirrored this trend, increasing from about 23K to over 80K by the quarter's end.
Walley experienced a gradual increase in downloads, starting at 5.5K in early July and climbing to over 10.6K by late September. The app's weekly active users showed fluctuations, peaking at around 76K towards the end of the quarter.
Swedbank private maintained a steady download rate, beginning at 5.9K in early July and reaching approximately 7.1K by late September. Active user numbers fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at 627K and ending with about 612K.
