In the third quarter of 2024, the top fish-themed games on the unified platform in Nigeria exhibited varied performance trends. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users for each of the leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Hungry Shark Evolution from Ubisoft Entertainment showed a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, starting at around $47 and peaking at $122 by the end of September. Weekly downloads reached a high of approximately 15.9K mid-July and gradually tapered off to about 4.2K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 200K throughout the period.
Fishdom by Playrix experienced a peak in weekly revenue of about $1.1K at the close of September. Downloads saw a downward trend, starting from around 6.9K in late July and ending at 2.3K by September. Active users followed a similar pattern, decreasing from over 20K in July to about 14K by the end of the quarter.
Hungry Shark World, another offering from Ubisoft, maintained a relatively low revenue stream, peaking at $25 in late September. Downloads fluctuated slightly, with highs of about 2.3K and lows around 1.4K. Active users remained steady, averaging around 13K to 14K throughout the quarter.
World of Water from StarFortune saw initial revenue in early July but witnessed no further revenue for the remainder of the quarter. Downloads started strong at 3.3K but saw a significant drop to just 39 by the end of September. Active users displayed a mixed pattern, with numbers ranging from a high of 20K in late August to a low of 12.6K in mid-September.
Lastly, Fish Story: Save the Lover from ABI Games Studio did not generate revenue during this period. However, its downloads increased steadily from 447 in early July to 1.3K by mid-September. Active users also showed growth, rising from 705 to over 2.2K by the end of the quarter.
