In the third quarter of 2024, the top five food delivery services in Switzerland showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how each app performed:
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, beginning with around 4.1K in early July and peaking at approximately 7.4K by late September. The app also maintained a strong base of weekly active users, rising from about 194K to over 231K throughout the quarter.
Just-Eat.ch experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at 5.1K and reaching a maximum of roughly 5.5K at the end of September. Its weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 40K mark, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery had a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at 5.1K in July and ending the quarter with over 5.1K. The app's weekly active users grew steadily from around 85.6K to over 91.9K, indicating a strong user engagement trend.
Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery showed a downward trend in weekly downloads, with numbers starting at 2.1K and slightly decreasing towards 1.8K by September's end. However, active users increased from 67.9K to over 71.5K, suggesting consistent user retention and engagement.
Finally, Glovo: Food Delivery, Takeaway experienced a decrease in weekly downloads from 1.1K to 1.1K over the quarter. Its weekly active users showed a modest rise, starting at 12.2K and closing the quarter at approximately 14.2K.
