In the third quarter of 2024, the gaming landscape in Chile experienced dynamic shifts as observed through Sensor Tower's data on the top 5 games on a unified platform. Here's an in-depth look at how these games performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
Roblox from Roblox Corporation saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at approximately $166K in mid-August and experiencing a dip to around $103K in mid-September. The game's weekly downloads started strong at about 59K in early July, but gradually declined to approximately 33K by the end of September. Active users showed a steady decrease over the quarter, from around 2.8M to 2.5M.
Brawl Stars, developed by Supercell, displayed a varied revenue trend with an initial drop to about $90K in late July, followed by an increase to approximately $192K in early September. Downloads were relatively stable, starting at 44K and ending at around 26K. The game maintained a strong user base with active users fluctuating slightly but remaining around the 1.8M mark throughout the quarter.
Free Fire from Garena International showed a consistent revenue pattern with a notable peak at $87K in late July and a slight dip to $56K in early September. Weekly downloads began at 32K and decreased to 20K by the quarter's end. The game's active user count was robust, starting at 2.1M in early July and ending at 1.8M in late September.
Township by Playrix had a stable revenue flow, with a peak of around $26K in mid-September. Downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of 18K in mid-September before dropping to about 9K by the end of the quarter. Active users increased from 63K in early July to 75K in mid-September, before settling at 70K by the end of September.
Lastly, Fruit Merge: Match Game from Bravestars Technology JSC showed a gradual increase in revenue, starting from negligible amounts and rising to about $255 by mid-September. Downloads peaked at approximately 25K in mid-August, ending the quarter at 16K. The game's active users grew significantly, from 13K in early July to a peak of 73K by the end of September.
