In the third quarter of 2024, the Hack and Slash app category saw diverse performance trends across the top five apps in Germany, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at each app's journey through the quarter.
Zenless Zone Zero from COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. had a fluctuating quarter. The app's revenue peaked at around $83.7K in early July, then saw a general decline with a slight rebound to $56.5K at the beginning of September. Downloads started strong at 97K but steadily decreased, ending the quarter at about 1.9K. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 92K and dropping to 18.9K by the end of September.
Solo Leveling:Arise by Netmarble maintained a more stable performance. Weekly revenue saw a high of approximately $129K in the second week of July, stabilizing to around $35.6K by the end of September. Downloads remained relatively steady, hovering around 4K weekly, while active users consistently increased from 134K to 154K during the quarter.
Stick Demon Shadow Fight from Mana Games Studio showed modest revenue growth beginning in mid-August, with a peak of $176 in early September. Downloads jumped to 6.6K in mid-August before tapering off to about 3.5K by the end of the quarter. Active users grew from 27 to 8.1K, reflecting a positive engagement trend.
MARVEL Future Fight, another title from Netmarble, experienced a steady quarter. Revenue saw an uptick in early August, reaching $17K, before settling around $7.8K by September's end. Downloads increased to a peak of 3.6K in early September, with active user numbers peaking at 15.3K in late July, then stabilizing around 11.8K.
Finally, Ninja Ryuko: Shadow Ninja Game by Monstermob USA, despite no reported revenue, recorded a gradual decline in downloads from 2K in early July to 770 by the end of September. Active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at 2K and ending at 912.
