In the third quarter of 2024, the health and fitness app sector in Ecuador displayed diverse trends across the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how these apps performed in terms of downloads and user engagement.
WalkWork saw a notable decline in weekly downloads, starting at around 65.2K in early July and dropping to approximately 3.3K by the end of September. Active users initially surged from 81.8K to a peak of 187.2K mid-July but subsequently decreased to 30.1K by the end of the quarter.
Flo Period & Pregnancy Tracker maintained a consistent presence, with weekly downloads hovering between 8.2K and 12.5K. The app's revenue exhibited a steady increase, reaching a high of about $2.7K in early September. Active users remained stable, averaging around 330K throughout the quarter.
Sweatcoin・Walking Step Counter experienced a decrease in weekly downloads from 17.7K at the start of July to 4.8K by the end of September. Revenue followed a downward trend as well, declining from approximately $277 to $113. Despite this, active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around the 20K mark.
Health Tracker: Blood Pressure experienced a sharp decline in downloads, starting at 7.8K and dropping significantly to just 147 by mid-August. However, active users showed resilience, starting at 12.9K and ending the quarter with an increase to 14.6K.
Health Sense: Blood Sugar Hub exhibited an impressive increase in weekly downloads, starting modestly at 966 in mid-August and escalating to 27.7K by the end of September. This growth was mirrored in active users, which rose from 784 to 30.3K over the same period.
