The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a detailed look into the trends and highlights of these apps.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts from Spotify AB saw a consistent increase in weekly revenue, culminating at around $291K by the end of September. The app's weekly downloads hovered between 62.5K and 72K, with a slight peak mid-quarter. Meanwhile, its active user base remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 13.4M throughout the quarter.
Music Player & MP3 - DDMusic experienced a gradual rise in downloads, reaching a high of approximately 31.4K in early September. Weekly active users also increased steadily, nearing 94K by the end of the quarter.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts maintained stable download numbers, averaging around 35K weekly. Its active user count showed a slight dip towards the end of the quarter, settling at about 2.18M.
Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts generated a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $210K in late September. Downloads fluctuated, with a noticeable increase to 35.7K in the final week, while active users remained constant, ending the quarter with about 746K.
Lastly, SoundCloud: Play Music & Songs showed a positive trend in weekly revenue, climbing to around $138K by September's close. Downloads remained stable, averaging around 26K weekly, and active users hovered around 2.08M, with a slight dip mid-quarter.
