In the third quarter of 2024, the music and podcasts app market in Angola showcased varied performance across the top five applications, according to Sensor Tower data.
Spotify: Music and Podcasts demonstrated a steadily increasing trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 10.3K in early July and reaching a peak of 12.7K by the end of the month. However, a gradual decline brought them down to approximately 10.4K by the end of September. The app's weekly revenue fluctuated slightly, peaking at $97 in the last week of September. Meanwhile, the weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 190K throughout the quarter.
Shazam: Find Music & Concerts experienced a modest increase in weekly downloads from 8.9K to nearly 10K by late July, before a gradual decrease to about 8.3K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users for Shazam maintained a steady count, averaging around 180K throughout the period.
Tubidy Mp3 Music Downloader saw an initial rise in weekly downloads from 6.9K to over 10K in July, followed by a decline to about 4.4K by the end of September. The app's active users grew from 19K to a peak of nearly 26K in late July, before settling at around 23K towards the quarter's end.
Download Music Mp3 recorded varying weekly downloads, with a notable spike to 11.8K in early August before declining to approximately 5.6K by September's close. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, increasing to a peak of 12.7K in August and then tapering to about 9.7K by the end of the quarter.
Unlimited MP3 Music Downloader started with weekly downloads of 3.8K, rising to a peak of 8.8K in late July, and then declining to 4.2K by the end of September. Active users showed a similar pattern, peaking at around 18.2K in early September before decreasing to 16.4K by the quarter's end.
