In the third quarter of 2024, the top shopping applications in the United Kingdom showcased varied performance trends in downloads and active user engagement, as recorded by Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared in this period.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting with approximately 289K in early July and reaching a peak of around 469K in the week of August 19. By the end of September, downloads had settled to about 263K. The app maintained a robust active user base, beginning the quarter with over 5.3M and finishing strong at about 5.7M active users in the last week of September.
SHEIN - Shopping Online saw a consistent increase in downloads, starting at 158K and peaking mid-September with approximately 265K. Active users for SHEIN also showed a steady increase, growing from 4.3M in early July to about 4.7M by the end of the quarter.
AliExpress - Shopping App had a varied download trend, beginning with 195K downloads in early July, peaking at around 277K in the week of August 19, and then declining to 129K by the end of September. Active user numbers increased from 1.6M to nearly 1.9M over the quarter.
Vinted: Sell vintage clothes showed a positive trajectory in downloads, starting at 113K and climbing steadily to approximately 196K by the end of September. This growth was mirrored in active users, which rose from 2.4M to about 2.8M during the same period.
Tesco Groceries for iPhone experienced a gradual increase in downloads, starting with 113K and reaching a peak of 149K in mid-September before closing the quarter at around 129K. Active users remained stable, fluctuating between 2.2M and 2.4M throughout the quarter.
