In the third quarter of 2024, Sweden's shopping app landscape on unified platforms saw a variety of trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top five shopping apps in the region.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire demonstrated a consistent rise in weekly downloads, peaking in the week of August 26 with approximately 84.6K downloads. Active users also climbed, reaching about 888K during the same week, before stabilizing around 752K by the end of September.
Vinted: Sell vintage clothes experienced a significant uptick in downloads, notably hitting 77.1K in late August. Weekly active users followed suit, increasing to approximately 325K during the same period, and maintaining a steady level through September.
Klarna | Shop now. Pay later. recorded a gradual increase in downloads, with a peak of around 16K in the week of September 23. Active users showed a similar trend, culminating in approximately 671K by the end of the quarter.
IKEA maintained a stable download rate throughout the quarter, reaching up to 12.8K in late August. Active users fluctuated slightly but remained around the 54K mark towards the end of September.
Lastly, Sellpy - Shop Second Hand saw a consistent increase in downloads, particularly in August with a peak of 12.7K. Active users mirrored this trend, reaching approximately 151K by the end of the quarter.
