In the third quarter of 2024, the top social apps on a unified platform in the Middle East demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.
TikTok showed robust weekly revenue figures, starting at approximately $3.2M in early July and peaking at $3.4M by the end of September. The app's weekly downloads remained consistently high, averaging around 360K to 390K throughout the quarter. In terms of active users, numbers hovered around 33M, with a slight dip towards the end of the period.
Chamet - Live Video Chat experienced moderate weekly revenue, fluctuating between $174K and $267K. Weekly downloads showed a gradual increase, reaching over 15K by the end of September. Active users saw a steady decline from about 107K to 103K.
Poppo Live- Live Stream maintained its weekly revenue in the range of $141K to $185K. Downloads started at 17.7K and concluded at approximately 14.5K. Active users demonstrated a slight increase, ending the quarter with about 71K users.
Bigo Live - Live Streaming App saw a weekly revenue range from $197K to $275K. Downloads started at 74.5K and decreased to 55.7K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 1.1M.
Finally, Likee - Short Video Community recorded weekly revenue fluctuating between $64K and $125K. Downloads showed a downward trend, starting at 57.8K and dropping to about 32.7K. Active users saw a slight decrease, settling around 1.3M by the end of September.
