State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!

In the third quarter of 2024, the tabletop board games category saw varied performance across the top five apps in Portugal, as analyzed by Sensor Tower. These apps include Tic Tac Toe - 2 Player XO, Ludo King®, Chess - Play and Learn, Dominoes: Classic Dominos Game, and Ludo Club - Dice & Board Game.
Tic Tac Toe - 2 Player XO from CDT Puzzle Studio saw fluctuating download numbers, peaking at 4.7K in mid-August, before declining to 1.2K by the end of September. Weekly active users exhibited a similar trend, starting at 13.2K and decreasing to 8K by the quarter's end.
Ludo King® experienced modest revenue fluctuations, with the highest weekly revenue reaching $234 in mid-July. Downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 1.2K to 2K. Weekly active users saw a slight decline, ending the quarter at approximately 13.4K.
Chess - Play and Learn from Chess.com showed robust revenue performance, peaking at $2.3K in August. Downloads remained consistent, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Active users were steady, with a notable rise to 67.8K in late September.
Dominoes: Classic Dominos Game by NewPubCo had a spike in downloads in July, reaching 2.7K, followed by a decrease to around 300 by the end of September. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 9.6K and ending at 4.6K.
Ludo Club - Dice & Board Game from Moonfrog saw a gradual decline in downloads, starting at 1.1K and ending at 700. Revenue showed a slight upward trend, peaking at $189 in late September, while active users remained stable, closing the quarter at 15K.
