In the third quarter of 2024, the travel and local app market in Luxembourg saw varying trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top five apps in this category.
Booking.com: Hotels & Travel maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, starting with 622 downloads and peaking at 825 in late July. However, the trend saw a gradual decline towards the end of September, ending with 365 downloads. The app's weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting at approximately 10.9K in early July and ending with a slight increase to 10.5K by the end of September.
Airbnb experienced a similar pattern in downloads, beginning with 560 downloads in early July and reaching a high of 761 in late July. By the end of the quarter, the app's downloads had decreased to 355. Weekly active users showed a slight fluctuation, starting at about 6.9K, peaking mid-quarter, and ending at around 7K.
LetzRide Luxembourg saw its downloads decrease significantly from 1.3K in early July to 193 by the end of September. The app did not report active user data during this period.
FlixBus: Book Bus Tickets showed a steady download pattern, starting at 225 downloads and peaking at 280 in late July. The app concluded the quarter with 171 downloads. Active users remained relatively stable, beginning at 879 and slightly increasing to 891 by the end of the quarter.
SNCF Connect: Trains & routes maintained a stable download rate throughout the quarter, beginning with 315 downloads and ending with 293. The app's active user base was consistent, starting at approximately 3K and ending with the same number.
