In the third quarter of 2024, travel applications in Latin America showed varied performance trends based on data from Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the top five apps:
Uber - Request a ride maintained consistent weekly downloads, with numbers fluctuating between approximately 631K and 706K. The active user base remained robust, starting at around 29.1M and peaking at 30.2M in early September.
Airbnb exhibited a steady download pattern, with figures ranging from 372K to 431K. Active users gradually increased, beginning at 2.8M and reaching over 3M by the end of the quarter.
DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced significant growth in weekly downloads, starting at 374K and peaking at 753K in early September. The active users also showed positive trends, increasing from 9.7M to over 10.5M by the quarter's end.
inDrive. Save on city rides saw stable download numbers, mostly hovering around the 485K mark. The active user count demonstrated some fluctuations but remained strong, with numbers ranging from 10.4M to 11.9M throughout the quarter.
99 - Private drivers and Taxi showed a steady increase in downloads, from 273K to 343K. The active users saw a consistent upward trend, growing from 10.9M to over 11.6M.
