In the third quarter of 2024, the top five zombie-themed mobile games showed diverse trends in Italy on a unified platform, which combines data from both iOS and Android. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, reveals insights into downloads, revenue, and active users for each app.
Last War:Survival from FUNFLY PTE. LTD. showed a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $279K by the end of July. Downloads fluctuated, with a mid-quarter high of 59K in the week of August 12. The weekly active users also rose, reaching approximately 280K at the end of September.
Doomsday: B.Duck by IGG.COM maintained a steady revenue trend, mostly staying around $20K to $27K throughout the quarter. Downloads saw a slight dip towards the end of the quarter, with numbers ranging from 14K to 26K. Weekly active users showed resilience, ending the quarter at around 94K.
TDS - Tower Destiny Survive from SayGames LTD, which launched in late July, experienced an initial surge in downloads, peaking at 36K in mid-August. However, its revenue remained modest, not exceeding $1K per week. Active users peaked at about 48K in August but declined to approximately 26K by the end of September.
Zombie Tsunami, a longstanding title by Mobigame, had a modest revenue stream, with weekly earnings hovering around $200 to $500. The app saw a spike in downloads in early August, reaching nearly 19K. Active users showed a significant increase in August, peaking at 270K, before a gradual decline to approximately 158K by the quarter's end.
For Plants vs. Zombies™ by Electronic Arts, weekly revenue remained stable, ranging from $90 to $170. Downloads saw a gradual increase, ending the quarter with about 6.7K. The game maintained a steady weekly active user base, closing at approximately 32K.
