In the fourth quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing market in Spain showed varied performance across the top apps on the Android platform. Here's a look at the key trends for the top five applications, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Uber - Request a ride displayed a consistent pattern in downloads, starting at around 31K weekly downloads and peaking at 38K in early December. The app maintained a strong user base, with active users fluctuating between 872K and 1.08M, peaking in mid-December.
Cabify saw a steady rise in downloads, starting from approximately 15K and reaching nearly 19K by the end of December. Active users increased over the quarter, from 478K to around 561K, with a notable peak in mid-December.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a gradual increase in downloads, peaking at over 19K in late December. Active users showed a moderate increase, with numbers rising from 367K to about 394K in early December.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a more stable trend in downloads, fluctuating between 6K and 12K. Active users remained steady, with a slight increase from 294K to 340K by the end of the quarter.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a modest download rate, ranging from 2.5K to 3.9K. The active user base showed a slight decline, from 29K to around 22K over the quarter.
