In the fourth quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing market in Europe witnessed significant activity on the Android platform. Here’s a look at the performance of the top five apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Uber - Request a ride maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 194K and 250K. The app experienced a notable peak of 250K downloads in late December. Weekly active users varied, starting at approximately 7.9M and reaching up to 8.8M during the quarter.
Bolt: Request a Ride also showed steady performance, with downloads ranging from 184K to 221K, peaking in late December. Active users fluctuated, with a high of 7.9M in early December before dropping to 6.9M by the end of the month.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery saw a consistent download pattern, starting at 155K and peaking at 199K in late December. Active users showed a robust increase, reaching over 22M in the last week of December.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a relatively stable download rate, ranging from 61K to 77K, with a peak in the week before Christmas. Active users were consistent, with a high of 2.8M in late December.
Finally, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver recorded steady download numbers, ranging from 41K to 50K. Active users started at around 584K and remained relatively stable throughout the quarter.
