In the fourth quarter of 2024, the UK market saw notable performance trends among the top food and drink applications on the Android platform. Here's a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Sidekick by Sorted Food experienced a significant spike in weekly revenue, which peaked at around $12.9K in late November, before settling to roughly $1.5K by the end of December. Weekly downloads fluctuated, hitting a high of 1K in November, and closing the year with 263 downloads.
Olio — Share More, Waste Less showed a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, reaching over 12K at the end of December. Revenue remained steady, peaking at $2.7K in the final weeks. Active users increased from approximately 230K to 233K over the quarter.
For Deliciously Ella: Feel Better, revenue peaked at $2.4K in October with a drop to $669 in early December, before rising again to $2.1K by the end of the quarter. Active users grew from 2.4K to over 3K, while downloads saw a surge in early December with 235 downloads.
Cherrypick: Plan | Shop | Cook had a notable increase in weekly downloads, reaching 3.9K at the end of December. Revenue started at $820, peaked at $2.1K mid-October, and settled around $439 by the end of the year. Despite a decline in active users from over 14K to 6.9K, the app maintained steady engagement.
Lastly, Gronda - For Chefs experienced a gradual decline in active users from 112 to 78, while weekly revenue started at $922 and ended at $490. Downloads were minimal, with occasional increases peaking at 74 in early October.
