In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of the leading food delivery apps on iOS in Australia showed varied trends across downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
DoorDash - Food Delivery saw weekly downloads starting strong at around 18K, with a slight dip towards the end of the year, ending at approximately 14K. Weekly active users demonstrated fluctuations, peaking at over 600K mid-quarter before settling at around 496K by the end.
BWS on tAPP experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at 14.7K and climbing to over 33K by the end of December. Active users followed a similar upward trend, growing from approximately 105K at the start to over 131K.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries maintained steady weekly downloads, fluctuating around 14K to 15K. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 1.27M and ending the quarter at 1.12M, with minor variations throughout the period.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste had an interesting quarter with a spike in downloads to 45.6K in November, though it tapered off to around 6.5K by year-end. Active users increased steadily, reaching a peak of approximately 50.5K before decreasing slightly to 36.3K.
Menulog - Food Delivery showed a consistent pattern in downloads, hovering around 5.6K to 7.3K. Its active users saw a decline from 304K at the beginning to approximately 257K by the end of December.
