In the fourth quarter of 2024, the Netherlands saw diverse trends in the iOS food delivery app market. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here's a breakdown of the performance of the top five applications.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at around 11.7K in late October, then gradually declining to approximately 4.3K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users decreased from 389.5K to 305.5K over the quarter.
Thuisbezorgd.nl maintained a consistent download rate, starting the quarter with 5.3K downloads and ending with a notable rise to 8.3K. Active users saw a significant increase from 449.4K to 602.1K, indicating strong user engagement.
Picnic Online Supermarket experienced a decline in weekly downloads, from 5.6K in early October to 2.6K before rebounding to 4.8K by the end of December. Active users showed a slight increase, peaking at 366.4K in early December before concluding at 313.2K.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries saw a steady download trend, with fluctuations between 3.5K to 4.6K, closing the year at 4.3K. Active users varied throughout the quarter, starting at 201K and ending at 210.8K.
Flink: Groceries in minutes had a modest download pattern, starting with 2.3K downloads and ending the quarter slightly higher at 2.8K. Active users demonstrated a slight growth, beginning at 84.4K and rising to 89.4K by the end of December.
