The fourth quarter of 2024 saw interesting performance trends among the top consumer finance applications in the United Kingdom. According to Sensor Tower, these apps showed varying patterns in weekly downloads and active user engagement.
Monzo - Mobile Banking began the quarter with a strong download count of around 109K, which gradually decreased to approximately 57.4K by late December. Active users fluctuated, starting at 9.2M and peaking around 9.3M mid-quarter before ending at 9.3M.
Revolut: Send, spend and save experienced a steady download rate, beginning at 92K and closing the quarter at 80K. Active users showed an upward trend, starting at 5.5M and ending at 5.5M, with notable peaks throughout the quarter.
Lloyds Mobile Banking had a consistent download pattern, starting at 64K and decreasing to 42.6K. Its active user base remained robust, beginning at 7.3M and ending at 7.4M.
NatWest Mobile Banking saw its downloads start at 38.2K and end at 32.1K, while active users increased from 5.7M to 5.9M, showing a steady user engagement.
Lastly, Barclays UK maintained a stable download rate, starting at 35.2K and closing at 31.8K. Active users peaked at 7.7M early in the quarter and concluded at 7.5M.
