2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top five consumer finance apps in Romania, according to Sensor Tower data, demonstrated varied performance trends on the unified platform.
Revolut: Send, spend and save showed consistent weekly downloads, peaking at 45.9K at the start of the quarter and experiencing fluctuations throughout, ending with 36.1K. The app maintained high engagement, with active users fluctuating but remaining in the range of 4.5M to 4.9M.
BT Pay had a steady performance in downloads, starting at 24.5K and seeing a decline towards the end of the quarter to 13.7K. Active user numbers showed a peak at 3.8M in early December before decreasing to 3.3M by the quarter's end.
Salt Bank experienced a significant surge in weekly downloads in December, reaching as high as 77.8K, while active users increased steadily, peaking at 258K in December.
Raiffeisen Smart Mobile saw its downloads decline from 31.2K at the start to 11.2K by the end of December. Active users showed a downward trend, ending the quarter with 1.4M from a high of 1.7M.
Lastly, George Romania experienced a drop in downloads from 20K to 5.4K. Active users fluctuated but remained around 1.3M to 1.5M throughout the quarter.
