State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the film and television app market in Mexico showcased dynamic trends across the leading platforms. Data provided by Sensor Tower highlights the performance of the top five apps: Netflix, HBO Max: Stream Movies & TV, Amazon Prime Video, ViX: TV, Fútbol y Noticias, and Disney+.
Netflix experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, culminating in approximately 416K by the end of December. Revenue trends were relatively stable, peaking at about $31K in the final week. Active users saw a significant rise from 11.1M to 13.9M over the quarter.
HBO Max showed fluctuating revenue, reaching around $1M in the last week of December. Downloads showed an initial increase with a mid-quarter peak at 295K, while active users consistently grew, ending the quarter with approximately 4.4M.
Amazon Prime Video maintained consistent weekly revenue, peaking at about $268K just before Christmas. Downloads notably spiked to 433K in late December, and active users increased from 3.3M to 3.5M throughout the quarter.
ViX: TV, Fútbol y Noticias saw revenue fluctuate, with a high of $732K in mid-November. Downloads remained steady, averaging around 160K, while active users decreased slightly from 7.9M to 5.2M by the end of the year.
Disney+ experienced a gradual decline in revenue, ending the quarter at approximately $1.5M. Downloads increased significantly to 187K in the Christmas week, and active users rose from 5.1M to 5.1M by the end of December.
