In the fourth quarter of 2024, Australia’s top insurance applications demonstrated varied performance trends across the unified platform, combining both iOS and Android data. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.
AAMI App from AAI Limited saw consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 5.5K, with a notable increase towards the end of November peaking at 5.9K. Its weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around 160K.
My Medibank by Medibank Private Limited experienced a steady increase in downloads, reaching approximately 5.9K in mid-December. Meanwhile, its active user base saw a decline from 176K at the start of the quarter to 129K by the end.
NRMA Insurance from Insurance Australia Group had an upward trend in downloads mid-quarter, with numbers reaching 6K in late November. Active users showed a positive trend, peaking at 27K in late November before stabilizing around 23K towards the end of December.
The HCF My Membership App observed a steady climb in downloads, peaking at 4.2K in late November. Active users increased significantly, reaching a high of 25K in mid-December, although there was a drop towards the end of the year.
Hostplus displayed a downward trend in downloads, starting the quarter at 6.8K and decreasing to about 2.5K by the end of December. Active users maintained a steady presence, hovering around 92K throughout the quarter.
