In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top virtual pet applications on a unified platform in the United States showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Pokémon Sleep from The Pokemon Company saw a dynamic quarter. Weekly revenue peaked at approximately $214K in late December, with a noticeable increase in weekly downloads mid-quarter, reaching over 53K. However, active users decreased steadily from around 467K to 297K.
My Cat – Virtual Pet Games by APPSYOULOVE LTD displayed consistent weekly revenue, hovering around $43K by the end of December. Downloads surged towards the end of the quarter, peaking at over 44K, while active users also increased significantly to about 81K.
Dino Fun - Games for kids from Avocado Mobile Inc experienced a stable performance. Weekly revenue showed a slight increase, ending the quarter at $28K. Downloads saw a notable jump in late December to over 21K, and active users peaked at around 89K.
Cat Game - The Cats Collector! by MinoMonsters, Inc. had a relatively stable quarter in terms of downloads and revenue, with weekly revenue reaching approximately $27K at its peak. Active users showed a gradual increase, ending the quarter with around 138K.
Finally, Pengu – Raise Virtual AI Pets from SLAY GmbH experienced a decline in downloads from a high of 120K in early October to around 47K by year-end. Despite this, active users rebounded towards the end of the quarter to nearly 298K, maintaining a steady revenue stream of approximately $16K.
