In the first quarter of 2025, the top air travel apps on the Android platform in the United States demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at how these apps fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
American Airlines experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 33.4K in early January and reaching over 38.1K by the end of March. Meanwhile, weekly active users fluctuated, with a notable peak at over 1M in mid-March.
Fly Delta saw a steady rise in downloads throughout the quarter, beginning at 28.9K and peaking at around 37.8K in mid-March. The app's active users demonstrated a similar upward trend, maintaining numbers around 1M in March.
United Airlines maintained a solid weekly download rate, fluctuating between 29.9K and 36.9K. Active users remained strong, with figures hovering around 1M during the quarter.
The Southwest Airlines: Travel App achieved a notable increase in downloads, starting at 24K and climbing to over 30.5K by the end of March. Active user numbers were impressive, consistently exceeding 1M.
Lastly, Frontier Airlines showed a steady download pattern, with weekly figures ranging from 22K to 27K. Active users remained fairly stable, with numbers peaking at around 227K in mid-March.
