2026 State of Mobile is Live!

During the first quarter of 2025, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in South America experienced varying performance trends on the Android platform. Here's a closer look at how each app fared based on data from Sensor Tower.
Uber - Request a ride saw a consistent level of weekly downloads, fluctuating between 360K and 440K throughout the quarter. The app's weekly active users increased steadily, starting at approximately 25M and reaching over 29M by the end of March.
inDrive. Rides with fair fares maintained a stable download rate, peaking at around 270K in early March. Active users showed a gradual increase, with numbers growing from 9.5M to nearly 9.8M over the quarter.
Yango: taxi, food, delivery experienced a significant rise in downloads, especially towards the end of February, reaching a high of 285K. Active users also surged, moving from approximately 1.6M to over 3.1M by the end of the period.
DiDi Rider: Affordable rides reported a peak in downloads at the end of February with 230K. The number of active users followed an upward trend, increasing from 7.9M to 9M during the quarter.
Lastly, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a relatively stable download rate, averaging around 140K to 150K weekly. However, active users showed a slight decline from 5M to 4.8M.
