In the first quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing app landscape in Ukraine saw varied performance among the top five apps on the Android platform. According to Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated distinct trends in downloads and active user engagement.
Uklon - More Than a Taxi maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with figures ranging from around 15K to 22K. Active users showed slight fluctuations, peaking at approximately 1.56M in early March, before stabilizing around 1.38M by the end of the quarter.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, reaching about 13K by the end of March. Active users also saw growth, with numbers rising from 0.89M to nearly 1.19M over the quarter.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a more modest presence, with downloads fluctuating between 3.8K and 5.3K. Active users initially decreased but then rebounded to approximately 189K towards the end of the quarter.
Uber - Request a ride showed a consistent download pattern, maintaining around 2.5K to 3.4K weekly downloads. The app’s active users increased from 112K to 149K during the quarter, indicating growing user engagement.
inDrive. Rides with fair fares saw a steady download rate of approximately 700 to 1K per week. Active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter with about 30K users.
