In the first quarter of 2025, the US Android market saw significant activity in the casual games category. Here's a detailed look at the performance of the top five games, based on data from Sensor Tower.
MONOPOLY GO! from Scopely showed a strong performance in terms of revenue, with a peak of approximately $8.5M in early January. Weekly downloads started at 103K and gradually decreased to around 75K by the end of March. The game maintained a robust active user base, peaking at 1.75M in mid-March before dropping to 1.26M.
Subway Surfers by SYBO Games experienced stable revenue, ranging from $11K to $16K weekly. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 100K, dropping to 69K, and then stabilizing around 71K. Active users remained relatively steady, averaging around 1.6M throughout the quarter.
Royal Kingdom by Dream Games showed a consistent increase in revenue, reaching $643K by the end of March. Downloads varied, starting at 95K and ending at 85K. Weekly active users grew steadily, peaking at 280K in late February.
Township from Playrix saw a decline in revenue, beginning at $1.8M and closing at $1.7M. Downloads decreased from 94K to 42K. Despite this, the app maintained a steady active user base, peaking at 652K in late January.
Geometry Dash Lite by RobTop Games had no revenue during this period. Downloads showed moderate activity, ranging from 96K to 61K. The game sustained a strong active user presence, with numbers peaking at 1.18M in early February.
