In the first quarter of 2025, the city building game category on Android in Costa Rica showed varied performance across top apps. Here's a closer look at how these games fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.
SimCity BuildIt from ELECTRONIC ARTS saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $255 in mid-January, before dipping to $52 later in the month. Downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of approximately 229 in early March. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, peaking at 1.9K in the first week of March.
Isekai:Slow Life by Mars-Games experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 37 and dropping to single digits by March. Revenue also decreased, with a low of $9 in early March, but saw a slight recovery to $37 by the end of the quarter. Active users hovered around the 270 mark, showing a slight increase towards the end of March.
Merge County from Microfun Limited had a modest performance with weekly downloads peaking at 54 in mid-February. Revenue showed a gradual decline throughout the quarter, starting at $75 and ending at $55. Active users remained low, peaking at 51 in late February.
Global City: Building Games by MYGAMES MENA FZ LLC had a fluctuating download pattern, with numbers peaking at 132 in early February. Revenue showed an upward trend towards the end of the quarter, reaching $48. Active users saw a dip mid-quarter but recovered to 105 by the end of March.
Civilization VI - Build A City from Aspyr Media, Inc. had minimal revenue activity, with a peak of $52 in early February. Downloads remained low throughout the quarter, with a peak of 15 in mid-February. Active user numbers were stable, averaging around 35.
