2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the first quarter of 2025, the top communication apps on Android in the Netherlands exhibited varied performance trends, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Snapchat from Snap Inc showed fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at around $21K in late February. Download trends were mostly stable, with a notable increase to 17.6K in late March. Active users hovered around 1.5M, showing slight variations throughout the quarter.
Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out saw its weekly revenue increase to approximately $17.4K by late February. Downloads were steady, averaging around 7K weekly, while active users grew to approximately 447K by the end of March.
Telegram, published by Telegram FZ-LLC, experienced a steady rise in revenue, reaching about $12.2K in late February. Downloads began at 20.8K in early January but gradually declined to around 15K by the end of March. Active users peaked at over 1.6M early in the quarter before stabilizing around 1.5M.
Azar: Video Chat, Meet Friends from Hyperconnect LLC saw a decline in revenue, starting at $6.8K and decreasing to $4.4K by the end of March. Downloads, however, increased over the quarter, reaching 2.1K in mid-March. Active user numbers also rose, peaking at over 7K.
Finally, Kik — Messaging & Chat App experienced a consistent revenue trend, peaking at $3.7K in late December. Downloads were modest, with a slight increase in mid-February to 1.2K. Active users started strong at 27.5K in January but gradually declined to 18.1K by the end of the quarter.
