In the first quarter of 2025, the top communication apps on Android in the Netherlands showed diverse performance trends. The app experienced a consistent increase in weekly active users, reaching approximately 1.2M by the end of March.
WhatsApp Messenger maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 17K and 26K. Its active user base remained stable, hovering around 8.9M throughout the quarter.
Telegram experienced steady weekly revenue growth, peaking at $12K in late March. Downloads showed a gradual decline from 20K to 15K, while active users varied slightly, ending the quarter at around 1.5M.
Snapchat generated consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $21K in late February. Downloads increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching 17K. Active users remained relatively stable, closing at 1.5M.
WhatsApp Business showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 14K. Revenue grew steadily, ending at $616. The app's active users fluctuated slightly, maintaining a strong user base of over 1.1M.
