In the first quarter of 2025, the top dating apps on the Android platform in the United States showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at how each app fared during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date maintained a strong presence with weekly revenue peaking at around $1.8M at the start of January and ending the quarter at $1.75M. Downloads fluctuated, beginning at 57K and dipping to 41K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decline from 2.3M to 2.08M.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date experienced steady revenue, starting at $1.06M and closing Q1 at $925K. Downloads decreased from 60K to 44K, while active users saw a decline from 1.57M to 1.56M.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Date saw revenue ranging from $704K to $678K, with a notable peak at $710K in late February. Downloads varied slightly, starting at 31K and ending at 29K. Active users remained relatively stable, ending the quarter with 890K.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat showed consistent revenue, peaking at $542K in early March. Downloads stayed around the 13K mark, while active users fluctuated, ending the quarter at 880K.
Plenty of Fish: Dating App saw an increase in revenue, peaking at $257K in late February, while downloads remained steady at approximately 21K. Active users increased from 297K to a peak of 368K before settling at 307K.
