In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top meal kit and specialty foods apps on Android in the United States showcased diverse trends in downloads and active users. This data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers insights into user engagement and adoption.
Factor_ Prepared Meal Delivery saw weekly downloads decrease from approximately 89K at the start of the quarter to around 25K by the end of March. Active users peaked early in the quarter at about 419K, before declining to roughly 283K.
HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery maintained a consistent download rate, starting with 10K and ending near 6K weekly. Active users initially increased to 566K in late January but tapered off to 457K by the end of the quarter.
Misfits Market Grocery App experienced a steady rise in active users, climbing from 12K to 24K throughout the quarter. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 6K and stabilizing around 5K weekly.
EveryPlate: Cooking Simplified demonstrated a variable download pattern, beginning with 4K, spiking to 6K in March, and ending at around 5K. Active users remained stable, closing the quarter near 66K.
Green Chef: Healthy Recipes saw a decline in downloads, starting at 5K and reducing to 3K by the end of March. Active users, however, grew from 13K to over 22K, indicating increased engagement.
