During the first quarter of 2025, the top film and television apps on the Android platform in Europe demonstrated varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at how each app fared according to data from Sensor Tower.
Disney+ showed a strong presence with weekly revenue starting at around $3.2M, peaking at $4.1M by the end of March. Downloads fluctuated, beginning at 319K and ending at 192K, while active users decreased from 9.5M to 8.0M over the quarter.
Prime Video maintained consistent weekly revenue, starting at $1.6M and peaking at $2.0M in mid-March. Downloads saw a decline from 342K to 200K, whereas active users decreased from 6.6M to 5.3M by the quarter's end.
The other version of Prime Video experienced a decline in weekly revenue, starting at $1.1M and ending at $824K. Downloads remained relatively low, ranging from 5.6K to 2.2K, and active users showed a slight decrease from 22K to 19K.
Crunchyroll saw an increase in weekly revenue, starting at $616K and peaking at $776K. Downloads rose from 68K to 98K, while active users increased from 1.2M to 1.3M throughout the quarter.
Lastly, Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies demonstrated stable revenue, starting at $446K and climbing to $591K. Downloads decreased from 209K to 140K, and active users remained steady, fluctuating around 2.1M.
