In the first quarter of 2025, the Food & Drink category on the Android platform in Ireland showcased interesting trends among the top-performing applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated varied patterns in downloads and active user engagement.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 3.5K in mid-January. Active users also rose steadily, starting at 41.4K at the beginning of January and reaching 62.6K by the end of March.
McDonald's experienced a gradual increase in its weekly downloads, reaching about 3K in early February. The app's active user count climbed from 36.7K to over 51K, showing consistent growth throughout the quarter.
Just Eat Ireland-Food Delivery maintained a stable download rate, with numbers fluctuating slightly around 2K per week. Active users showed a more dynamic pattern, starting at 78.2K and experiencing a slight decline towards the end of March, settling at 66.7K.
HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery displayed a moderate download rate, beginning at 2.2K in early January. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 24.2K to 25.2K by the quarter's end.
Finally, Deliveroo: Food & Shopping showed a varied download pattern, peaking at 1.8K in mid-February. Active user numbers increased from 30.4K to nearly 39.1K, indicating a strong engagement trend.
