In the first quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on Android in Russia showcased varied performance trends, according to data from Sensor Tower.
2GIS: Offline map & navigation demonstrated strong weekly downloads, peaking at around 138K in early March. Active user numbers steadily rose from approximately 3.5M to over 4M by the end of March.
Yandex Maps and Navigator maintained a consistent user base with active users increasing from 11.2M to 12.4M. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching around 118K at the start of the quarter and ending at approximately 85K.
Yandex Navigator saw a decline in weekly downloads from 77K to about 60K by the end of March. Active users hovered around 2M, peaking at over 2.1M in late March.
GPS АнтиРадар (радар-детектор) experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, reaching nearly 28K by the end of the quarter. Active users also trended upwards, closing at approximately 73K.
