In the first quarter of 2025, the sandbox-like games category on the Android platform in Europe showed notable trends. Here's a detailed look at the top five games, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Roblox started the quarter strong with a weekly revenue of around $2.8M, which gradually declined to approximately $1.5M by the end of March. Its weekly downloads began at nearly 972K, showing a downward trend to about 597K. The game maintained a significant user base, with active users fluctuating from 46.5M to 39.5M.
Block Craft 3D:Building Game saw a modest revenue range, peaking at $1.7K in mid-March. Downloads peaked early in the quarter at 371.7K, then saw a decrease to 193.8K. Active user numbers followed a similar pattern, starting at 1.7M and ending at 1.6M.
PK XD: Fun, friends & games experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching $48.5K by the end of March. Downloads, however, showed a decline from 217.8K to 168.3K. The active user count started at 1.2M, dropping to just over 1.1M.
Town Building Life Simulator had a revenue peak of $362 in early March. Downloads saw an increase mid-quarter, peaking at 208.7K before dropping to 88.4K. Active users rose to 484.8K in February but decreased to 320.7K by the end of the quarter.
Finally, Craft Block World Building, a newcomer released in late February, achieved impressive download numbers, peaking at 835.1K. Active users rose rapidly from 4.7K to 1.3M by mid-March, before settling at 754.8K at the quarter's close.
