In the first quarter of 2025, the beauty retail sector on iOS in Germany saw significant activity among top applications. Here's a look at the performance of the leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Mein dm had a robust start to the quarter with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 107K in mid-January. However, downloads steadily decreased, reaching around 32K by the end of March. Active users showed a consistent trend, starting at 2.3M and experiencing slight fluctuations to end the quarter at about 2.5M.
Douglas - Parfüm & Kosmetik maintained a relatively stable download rate, ranging between 12K and 17K weekly. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, beginning at 471K and ending at approximately 392K, with a notable rise in late March.
flaconi: Der Beauty-Onlineshop saw varied download numbers, starting at 6.8K and peaking at 21K in early March. Active user numbers were more stable, beginning at 110K and slightly declining to 99K by the end of the quarter.
SEPHORA - Maquillage, Parfum experienced a gradual decline in downloads, starting at 8.3K and decreasing to about 4.9K by the end of March. The active user base remained fairly consistent, fluctuating around 110K to 120K throughout the quarter.
Rituals Home & Body Cosmetics saw a decrease in weekly downloads from 8.3K at the beginning of the quarter to around 5.1K by the end. Active users showed a more varied pattern, starting at 86K and ending at approximately 77K.
