In the first quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing sector on iOS in the Netherlands displayed varied performance trends among the top apps. Here’s a closer look at the data provided by Sensor Tower:
Uber - Request a ride started the quarter with strong weekly downloads, peaking at around 16.8K in early January. This was followed by a slight dip, maintaining a consistent range between 9.4K and 14.7K. Weekly active users began at approximately 208K, experiencing a minor decline, but ultimately stabilized around 194K by the end of March.
Bolt: Request a Ride saw an initial drop in weekly downloads from 12.7K to 6.3K, followed by a gradual increase, reaching a peak of 9.4K in late March. Active users showed a steady growth, moving from 22.8K to 18K as the quarter progressed.
inDrive. Save on city rides had modest weekly downloads, starting at 946 and peaking at 1.1K in late February. Active user numbers mirrored this trend, beginning at 3.5K and maintaining a similar range throughout the quarter.
Careem – rides, food & more experienced fluctuating downloads, starting at 1K and briefly reaching a high of 1.2K in mid-February before declining. Active users decreased from 2.5K to 1.8K over the quarter.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had steady weekly downloads, fluctuating between 500 and 700. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 10.5K throughout the quarter.
