During the first quarter of 2025, the top dating apps on iOS in Europe showcased varied performance metrics, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a detailed look at each app's trends in downloads, revenue, and active users.
Tinder Dating App: Date & Chat maintained a strong presence with its weekly revenue peaking at around $5M in early January and gradually declining to approximately $3.9M by the end of March. Downloads started at 145K in the first week of January, decreasing to about 113K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a slight downward trend from 3.5M to 3.3M.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date had consistent weekly revenue, fluctuating around $1.2M, with a slight dip to $1.1M in late February. Downloads began at 92K, with a notable dip mid-quarter before recovering to 75K. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 960K.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet displayed an upward trend in weekly revenue, starting at $780K and reaching $898K by the end of March. Downloads fluctuated between 80K and 100K, with a peak in late March. Active users experienced growth from 1.1M to 1.14M over the quarter.
Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat saw a steady weekly revenue, starting at $750K and ending at $760K. Downloads were stable, around 17K to 19K throughout the quarter, while active users maintained a consistent range between 460K and 490K.
Azar: 1 on 1 Video Chat Online experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting at $800K and dipping to $600K before rising to $755K. Downloads showed a similar pattern, starting at 97K and dipping to 66K before climbing back to 79K. Active users showed a slight increase from 560K to 526K.
